Those involved in the Music Ministry
of Gadsden's First Baptist Church seek to provide an
atmosphere of praise and celebration that will encourage hearts that
worship God. We place a high priority on the music of worship, from
congregational singing, to children's choirs, to large-scale
seasonal productions.
There are opportunities of service and musical training from
preschoolers to senior adults. Musical groups include Sanctuary
Choir, Adult Ensemble, Youth Choir, Senior Adult Choir, and two
Handbell choirs. The Graded Choir Program includes preschoolers and
school age children. There are many soloists, trios, and quartets
that share their gifts in worship. These groups are non-auditioned
groups and the beginning musician is encouraged to come learn and
serve.
We wish to extend an invitation to you to join the members of First
Baptist Church and use the gifts that God has given you. If you can

Sanctuary Choir Each Wednesday, a special time of worship takes place. Our
Sanctuary Choir gathers at 7:00 PM to prepare musically and
spiritually to lead in worship on Sunday. This group provides
ongoing Sunday leadership and prepares several major works
throughout the year. We would love to welcome you into this special

New Voice Youth Choir New Voice (Youth Choir) is
for any high school or middle school student in grades 6 through 12.
The choir meets each Wednesday at 5:30 PM in the Choir room. New
Voice usually sings through out the year on Sunday mornings as well
as special Advent services. This years highlight is a Choir/Mission
tour to Boston, MA. in July.
Graded Choirs for Preschool-Fifth
Grade Our graded choirs are
staffed by talented spiritual leaders who are committed to sharing
God's love with every child as we model for them the praise and
worship of God through His gift of music. The children will enjoy
scripture and hymn memory, exploring musical instruments, music
fundamentals and opportunities to lead in worship, led by a loving
and creative team of individuals who love children and love the
Lord.
There are choirs for preschoolers ages 3, 4 and 5, choirs for 1st –
5th grades. All Preschool and Children’s Choirs meet on Wednesdays
at 6:15 PM during the school year. Families are invited to join us
for our family meal beginning at 4:45 PM each Wednesday. Join us

He Keeps Me Singing Choir
Our Senior Adult Choir meets every Thursday at 10:15 am in the Choir
Room. All senior adults are welcome to attend and fellowship
activities frequently follow the rehearsal time. The choir sings on
special occasions and tours local nursing homes and churches.
Adult Bell Choir Our bell choir rings
regularly for worship services and presents special programs during
the year in various venues. This group meets on Wednesdays at 5:30
p.m.
