A couple of weeks ago, I preached this sermon on being salt and light:
Today, the Supreme Court of the United States is hearing arguments about marriage and so-called gay marriage. This is one area where the church must be salt and light. We must stand strong on the truth of God’s Word that marriage is between one man and one woman.
Here is an article from the New York Times that includes a quote from my seminary buddy Andrew Walker. It details some of the strengths and challenges of the pro-marriage movement, and I think it is a helpful resource for our church in thinking about the issue of gay marriage.
