We have exciting news! Beginning on January 13th of 2013, we will have a full time Student Associate in charge of student ministry here at First Baptist Church. Jarred Boyd will be coming here to serve our students and their families.
I could not be more excited about the prospect of Jarred’s ministry here at First Baptist Church. He has grown up around student ministry (his dad has been a youth minister for 30 years), has had excellent and unique experience in a variety of churches, is rock solid spiritually and theologically, and has a passion to make disciples among students.
On the weekend of November 10-11 you will get a chance to meet Jarred. I hope you will take advantage of this opportunity and get to know him as he prepares to move to Gadsden and serve the Lord and our church.
We are committed to loving and discipling families at First Baptist Church. Bringing Jarred here to serve in this capacity is one of the many ways we want to convey to our families and our community that we are committed to ministering to families.
